Epilogue
Music & Libretto by Philip Seward
Developed with Natalie Arduino, Amy Becker & Patrice Boyd
How does a composer decide how to voice the heroine in his new show? One by one each woman points out the virtues of her own voice. Together they proclaim that each can give voice to his music. When the composer suddenly realizes he could choose to write roles only for tenors, the women attack him, then completely give up and leave him with disparaging remarks. In a final moment of reconciliation, they make their peace and contemplate the nature of art and music as the show comes to a musical — and Shakespearean — end.
